Here at Ready to Thrive!, we don’t believe in depriving yourself of the things you love, and we know it’s not easy to turn down one of the delicious, minty Shamrock Shakes that are popping up everywhere this time of year. But with one small-sized shake running upward of 500 calories at McDonald’s, we wanted to think of a way to create an alternative that would cut out the fat and processed sugars without losing any of the shake’s amazing flavor.
This Green Shamrock Smoothie is exactly the solution! With mint extract and greek yogurt, you don’t lose any of the flavor or creamy texture of the classic Shamrock Shake, but you’re getting in a balanced serving of fruits and veggies too!
Here’s how you make it.
What You’ll Need:
- Ready to Thrive! Green Smoothie
- 1 tsp. mint extract
- ½ kiwi
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- Mint leaves
- Blend Green smoothie with yogurt in blender. Blend until a smooth, thick consistency (similar to that of a milkshake).
- Add mint extract and kiwi juice. Blend.
- Pour into a glass and top with mint leaves.
